25 projects are finalists for the 2025 MAV Awards

A total of 25 projects have been finalists in the MAV 2025 Awards, awards that recognize the most innovative, sustainable and collaborative initiatives in the sector.

The selected projects will be publicly presented during MAV Day 2025, which will be held on November 27 in the evening at CosmoCaixa, in a very special edition in which we will commemorate the 10 years of the MAV Cluster.

This new call stands out for the excellent level and diversity of the proposals, which reflect the vitality and capacity for transformation of the advanced materials sector in Catalonia.

AIGÜES DE BARCELONA: Rodet 3D. BENVIRO: Development of new biodegradable plastic formulations for the biomedical sector (PHASAL). eutectic Pb15.7(2)Li(6), strategic material for the production of nuclear fusion energy.• IMB-CNM-CSIC: ESCO2RIAS• PARC TAULÍ RESEARCH INSTITUTE (I3PT): Pit3D, customized external breast prostheses.• INDRESMAT SL: ZERAF – Fachadas opacas adaptativas inteligentes.• i-TRIBOMAT: Tribology Universe.• MATRICES: A small company serving humanity. Cover DD helps make an international project like Hyper Kamiokande more reliable, with more than 20 countries involved.

All the finalist projects will be presented during MAV Day where, starting at seven in the evening, each team will have 4 minutes to present their proposal. At the end of the presentations, the attendees will vote for their favorite projects, and the winners of each category will be announced during the final gala of the day, when they will be presented with the trophies.
